ESD Level : LD Handling Precautions
Handling Precautions
1) Since the ESD level is very low compared with other discrete products, excessive light emission occurs when a surge enters in the forward direction, the end face breaks, and laser oscillation stops.

Stands for Electrostatic Discharge
2) It must be handled so as not to touch the end face which functions as a mirror.
(In other discrete products, it is common to use the end face as a 'dicing margin'.)
