Barometric Pressure Sensor
ROHM's piezo resistive type barometric pressure sensor enables easy high accuracy measurement utilizing temperature compensation based on ROHM's original algorithm that covers a wide temperature range.
The BM1422GMZ incorporates a control IC together with an MI sensor capable of detecting magnetic fields in 3 directions into a compact package. The MI sensor features significantly less power consumption than conventional models as well as lower noise, making it ideal not only for eCompass applications, but also sets requiring a greater degree of accuracy.
ROHM's 3-in-1 ALS/proximity sensor integrates an infrared LED, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor into a single package, improving screen visibility while reducing set power consumption.
ROHM's color sensor utilizes proprietary infrared removal technology and calculation method to deliver industry-leading IR removal characteristics. This reduces the effects of IR by over 10x compared with conventional products, making it possible to accurately detect the brightness and color temperature - even under dark (low transmittance) optical windows.
Hall Effect Sensor
ROHM's bipolar type Hall Sensor outputs ON (Active Low) upon detection of a magnetic field, regardless of polarity (N/S pole). This eliminates the need for magnet management (i.e. marking), allowing virtually any magnet to be used. ROHM also offers bipolar detection Hall ICs with polarity discrimination featuring 2 outputs (N/S pole) capable of determining the polarity.
ROHM temperature ICs integrate a temperature detection element, constant current circuit, and high-accuracy reference power supply voltage in a single chip. As a result, cumbersome circuit design is no longer necessary, making them ideal for electronic devices requiring temperature detection, such as mobile phones, tablets, PCs, LCD TVs, and gaming equipment.
LAPIS Semiconductor developed a silicon-based sensor IC capable of detecting UV rays utilizing original SOI (Silicon On Insulator) technology.
The shield, which is attached to an Arduino/Lazurite platform, allows different sensor boards to be connected.
