ROHM conducted beautification activities at Shonan Beach.
On Saturday, November 5, employees from ROHM, LAPIS Semiconductor, and LAPIS Technology voluntary conducted a beautification activity at the Shonan Beach (Katase-Nishihama and Kugenuma Beach) .
Shonan Beach is a popular area crowded all year round with people
enjoying marine sports, with a view of Enoshima Island and Mt.Fuji. And
It is also known as the beach where a baby blue whale found full of
plastic waste in stomach was washed up on the shore in 2018.
This
event was held with the support of the Kanagawa Coastal Beautification
Foundation, which has provided streamers, trash bags, and collected
trash.
On the day of the event, 61 employees and their families participated in
the refreshing autumn weather.
The children had fun cleaning up the
large beach with garbage bags and tongs, and as a result, they collected
a lot of garbage, including plastic pieces, glass, rusty nails, and so
on.
In order to pass on a healthy planet to the next generation, ROHM Group is continuously thinking about what it can do together with local communities and society, and taking action accordingly.
