Photovoltaic Power Generation System
In March we began generating electricity from the photovoltaic power generation system installed at the entrance of the main gate. It has 1,050 panels and the total length is about 270m.
The power generation amount is 233kWh.
It is the largest clean power generation facility in ROHM Group. You can see how big it is while walking along the side road of the factory building.
It mainly covers electricity for air conditioning and lighting in the office building, contributing to CO₂ reduction of about 95,000kg per year.
Since the solar power generation system can be seen from the window of the bullet train, it also plays a role as a symbol for ROHM Group's CSR activities to stakeholders nationwide.
Conducting In-House Vaccine Donation Activities
ROHM Hamamatsu Co., Ltd. has been conducting in-house vaccine donation activities every December since 2017.
The collected funds are used to vaccinate children in developing countries through the NPO “Japan Committee on Vaccines for Children in the World”.
We will continue to actively engage in these activities and contribute to the support of children in developing countries.
