[OBITUARY] Announcement on Passing of Kenichiro SATO, The Chairman Emeritus of ROHM Co., Ltd

It is with profound sadness that we announce that Kenichiro Sato, Chairman Emeritus, passed away on January 15, 2020, due to medical complications.
Respecting the deceased and his families’ will, his funeral has already been held with his family and relatives.

The deceased invented the small resister in 1954, and then grew the technology into a global manufacturing business. In addition, he advanced into the semiconductor market in the 1960s, experiencing and overcoming crises. He led ROHM’s growth for more than half a century with demonstrated management skills. Moreover, even though he resigned as President of ROHM in 2010, he made tremendous effort to guide and train Directors, managers and Young employees. We, all personnel of ROHM group, are shocked and filled with great sadness as we lose the deceased as a spiritual provider. We must overcome this deep sorrow by putting forth effort to growth our business in All ROHM group; therefore, we follow his will. Please convey our sincerest condolences to the deceased.
