What is the behavior when the output current is greater than the recommended max. output current but less than the overcurrent protection (OVP) detection value?
Even if a current larger than the recommended max. output current flows, if it is less than the overcurrent protection (OVP) detection value it will operate as a linear regulator, but the electrical characteristics are not guaranteed. If it continues to operate and exceeds the permissible loss the thermal shutdown circuit will operate and turn OFF the output current.Related Link:Technical Document
