A ROHM Group Employee Tests Positive for the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

On April 2, an employee of ROHM Group company ROHM Electronics Philippines, Inc. (Carmona, Cavite, Philippines) [hereinafter referred to as REPI] tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
1. Background An employee at REPI that has been staying at home sick since March 27 tested positive for COVID-19 on April 2.
2. Local Response This positive test result was immediately reported to the relevant government authorities, after which all operations at REPI were temporarily suspended for 3 days, from April 2 to April 4. At the same time, the entire affected area was thoroughly sanitized and all personnel that came into contact with the infected employee were placed under a mandatory home quarantine for 14 days, beginning March 27.
3. Current Situation With permission from the government authorities, partial operation resumed on April 5, with priority given to employee safety, but unfortunately we were not able to return to the same level as before the positive test result.
We sincerely apologize to all concerned residents and relevant parties for any trouble this issue may have caused.
Going forward, the ROHM Group will continue to place the utmost importance on the well-being and safety of our employees, their families, and all related personnel while making a concerted company-wide effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
