Class-D Speaker Amplifiers are generally used with an LC filter inserted at the output. But for small output (portable amplifiers) of about 2W, it is possible to use them without an LC filter. However, since the LC filter also plays the role of an EMI filter, EMI countermeasures such as shortening the wiring from the IC output terminal to the speaker or inserting ferrite beads may be necessary.
