For the BDxxC0A/FC0 series of LDOs, how do you determine the minimum capacities of the input and output capacitors from the datasheet graph when using at VCC=5.0V and Vout=3.3V?
There is an Input Capacitance vs Output Capacitance graph (VCC=4.0V to 26.5V, output voltage setting=3.0V to 15.0V) listed in the precautions section of the datasheet. When Cin is 2.2uF or more, Cout=1uF or more, and Cin=1.0uF to 2.2uF, stable operation is ensured if Cout is at least 10uF. However, for each capacitance value please select a capacitor that will not fall below the specified capacitance including withstand voltage and temperature. If the input voltage and load fluctuations are affecting operation, verify the actual application and adjust the capacitance accordingly.Related Link:Technical Document
