Qualified applicants have been responsible for leading corporate strategic and tactical legal initiatives. The attorney will provide senior management with effective advice on ROHM Semiconductor strategies and their implementation, manages the legal function, and obtains and oversees the work of outside counsel. The corporate attorney is directly involved in complex business transactions in negotiating critical business dealings and contracts. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drafts, reviews, negotiates and administrates various commercial contracts and agreements.
  • Handles and manages disputes and litigations.
  • Participates in the definition and development of corporate policies, procedures and programs and provides continuing counsel and guidance on legal matters and on legal implications of all matters.
  • Acts as key attorney/legal advisor on all major business transactions.

We are actively seeking a motivated, developing to career level Technical Sales Manager - Automotive with a background in electrical engineering to assist in supplying automotive electronics related components or systems to our Tier 1 or 2 accounts and customer support as part of our sales divisions.

SUMMARY

Seeking a motivated individual to manage US automotive accounts, increase the sales and maintain the profits. Interface with automotive and consumer electronics customers to negotiate contracts, win new business opportunities, build relationships, sell products and act as a first-line source of technical information. This position reports a Sr. Sales Manager and serves as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibility. Qualified candidate will drive to build and maintain sales support to customers regarding technical issues, documentation, and design-in of products. Responsibility includes but not limited to, manage both customers and various resources within the company to meet financial, strategic and customer specific goals. Serve as the primary point of contact within an assigned area and/or for specific programs at existing customers. Seeking junior to career level talent. The qualified Customer Service representative will be responsible for performing routine administrative and sales support duties including process orders, prepare correspondence and fulfill customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction. ROHM Semiconductor USA is looking for reliable Material Handlers at our Otay Warehouse. This is a regular, parttime position working 20-25 hours per week. Various shifts available between the hours of 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Qualified candidates will be responsible to receive, pick, pack and ship cartons within the warehouse. ROHM Semiconductor sells a wide variety of semiconductor components within the Americas. This is a great opportunity for students and those desiring supplemental hours and extra income!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily to include but not limited to:

  • Follow and adhere to warehouse guidelines while perform warehouse tasks
  • Ability to repeatedly lift products from shelves and pallets, occasionally weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to safely and properly store cartons onto shelves or pallets within warehouse
  • Sort products by part number and perform scanning and labeling of products and cartons
  • Perform basic math; Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction
  • Able to use general warehouse equipment (pallet jack, rolling carts, hand scanners, computer, etc.)

Description

ROHM Semiconductor has a great opportunity for a developing to career level Corporate Attorney to serve as an in-house counsel handling a variety of legal matters and projects. Qualified applicants have been responsible for leading corporate strategic and tactical legal initiatives. The attorney will provide senior management with effective advice on ROHM Semiconductor strategies and their implementation, manages the legal function, and obtains and oversees the work of outside counsel. The corporate attorney is directly involved in complex business transactions in negotiating critical business dealings and contracts. This position may be filled in one of our multiple locations - Santa Clara, CA; Southern California (ideally able to operate from our Otay location), or Novi, MI.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily to include but not limited to:

  • Drafts, reviews, negotiates and administrates various commercial contracts and agreements.
  • Handles and manages disputes and litigations.
  • Participates in the definition and development of corporate policies, procedures and programs and provides continuing counsel and guidance on legal matters and on legal implications of all matters.
  • Acts as key attorney/legal advisor on all major business transactions.
  • Evaluates the merits of major court cases filed against or on behalf of ROHM, works with the appropriate executive(s) to define a strategic defense and approves settlements of disputes where warranted.
  • Research, anticipate and guard ROHM against legal risks.
  • Interacts with other ROHM group attorneys and in-house clients.
  • Assumes ultimate responsibility for ensuring that the company conducts its business in compliance with applicable laws and regulations (IP, compliance issues, data privacy, trade secrets, labor, transactions, agreements, lawsuits, and patents).
  • Structures and manages ROHM’s internal legal function and staff as applicable.
  • Oversees the selection, retention, management and assessment of all outside counsel.
  • Attend company meeting
  • Handles and manages patent prosecution in US in collaboration with outside IP counsel and ROHM group engineers
  • Advises on legal aspects of ROHM’s financing, including evaluating and advising on current and future business structures and legal entities.
 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience/Training:

  • BS and J.D. degrees in law obtained from a law school in the United States is required; MBA is a plus or other advanced degree(s) in business or related is highly desired.
  • Must have passed California or other states Bar as applicable
  • 3 years’ of related work experience as corporate lawyer, working in-house for law firm or private company is required

ROHM Semiconductor USA, LLC has an immediate opening for a motivated, detailed Customer Service Representative to become part of our Customer Service Sales Support team. Seeking junior to career level talent. The qualified Customer Service representative will be responsible for performing routine administrative and sales support duties including process orders, prepare correspondence and fulfill customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction. Interface with internal and external customers effectively and timely for the delivery of pre-and post-sales activities to maintain positive customer relations. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the industry. Relies on instruction and pre-established guidelines to plan and accomplish goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily to include but not limited to:

  • Perform administrative sales support tasks for outside/field sales, reps, accounting and other customer service sales team members
  • Data entry of customer orders
  • Respond to customers regarding product orders
  • Manage order information for customers (cross-references, stock availability, expediting orders, delivery dates, product specs, and pricing); modify orders per customer requests
  • Prepare quotes on orders for Outside Sales
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, outside sales, and other internal users by phone, email, and/or in person; (may include ROHM Japan counterparts)
  • Learn key features and benefits of ROHM products and service offerings to provide the appropriate product/service in a particular market or end user type
  • Develop existing ROHM customers into new business opportunities (NBO) by cross-selling into new projects and initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience/Training:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years' experience of performing customer service or related administrative sales support functions is required, preferably in a semiconductor, electronics or high-tech industry.
  • Minimum of HS degree or equivalent is required. Preferably 2 years' post-secondary education or training; or recent college graduate with a bachelors degree in business or office administration, or an equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
  • Database management and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel at intermediate level is essential), Internet and custom and other computerized-systems (testing may be given).
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven skills
  • Demonstrate professional business acumen
  • Strong communication abilities - oral, written,and listening
  • Possess effective organizational and negotiation skills
