We are actively seeking a motivated, developing to career level Technical Sales Account Manager - Automotive with a background in electrical engineering to assist in supplying automotive electronics related components or systems to our Tier 1 or 2 accounts and customer support as part of our sales divisions.

SUMMARY

ROHM is seeking a sales manager who is excited to drive semiconductor growth in the automotive segment. The role requires a strategic mindset that can work across all levels within large organizations. It is a tremendous growth opportunity for building relationships, generating new sales revenue, and being part of an automotive revolution. This is a junior to career level position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily to include but not limited to:

  • Achieve design wins at large automotive clients
  • Establish, develop and maintain close relationships at new and existing customers
  • Manage sales revenue, forecast and profit margins
  • Negotatie significant annual and long-term agreements
  • Develop account strategies and execute with team members
  • Diagnose client issues and be creative with semiconductor solutions
  • Expand opportunity pipeline and work with stakeholders to close
  • Primary travel area/regional; potential travel up to about 30% (domestic and international)
 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education/training and work experience, or equivalent industry work experience
  • Ideally 3-5+ years of relevant work history and demonstrated skills & background supporting a sales and marketing within the semiconductor and electronics industry
 

Background and Knowledge of:

  • Must be able to understand the market challenges and ROHM's business processes and product lines, market segments, and applications
  • Automotive electronics experience is preferred: ADAS, infotainment, navigation, autonomous, analog, power electronics, etc
  • Demonstrated experience in successful customer and team relationships
  • Electronics Distribution industry experience is a plus
  • Understanding semiconductor products, manufacturing processes and their applications
  • Strong computer proficiency and abilities, especially, MS Office Suite; spreadsheets, databases and Internet
  • Formulate and deliver presentations and demos
  • Strong analytical skills
 

Abilities/Attitudes:

  • Ability to multitask, working on several projects simultaneously
  • Maintain, build and engage in new working relationships internal and external
  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Effectively communication, negotiate and organize
  • Stay abreast of new technologies, industry trends and enhance professional growth
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Possess valid driver's license and current auto insurance

ROHM Semiconductor USA, LLC has an immediate opening for a motivated, detailed Customer Service Representative to become part of our Customer Service Sales Support team. Seeking junior to career level talent. The qualified Customer Service representative will be responsible for performing routine administrative and sales support duties including process orders, prepare correspondence and fulfill customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction. Interface with internal and external customers effectively and timely for the delivery of pre-and post-sales activities to maintain positive customer relations. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the industry. Relies on instruction and pre-established guidelines to plan and accomplish goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily to include but not limited to:

  • Perform administrative sales support tasks for outside/field sales, reps, accounting and other customer service sales team members
  • Data entry of customer orders
  • Respond to customers regarding product orders
  • Manage order information for customers (cross-references, stock availability, expediting orders, delivery dates, product specs, and pricing); modify orders per customer requests
  • Prepare quotes on orders for Outside Sales
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, outside sales, and other internal users by phone, email, and/or in person; (may include ROHM Japan counterparts)
  • Learn key features and benefits of ROHM products and service offerings to provide the appropriate product/service in a particular market or end user type
  • Develop existing ROHM customers into new business opportunities (NBO) by cross-selling into new projects and initiatives
  • Participate in departmental meetings; stay abreast of current policies, trends and technologies in the industry
  • Give feedback on processes and communicate insights based on customer behavior
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned
 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience/Training:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years' experience of performing customer service or related administrative sales support functions is required, preferably in a semiconductor, electronics or high-tech industry.
  • Minimum of HS degree or equivalent is required. Preferably 2 years' post-secondary education or training; or recent college graduate with a bachelors degree in business or office administration, or an equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
  • Database management and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel at intermediate level is essential), Internet and custom and other computerized-systems (testing may be given).
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven skills
  • Demonstrate professional business acumen
  • Strong communication abilities - oral, written,and listening
  • Possess effective organizational and negotiation skills
  • Bilingual skills are a plus - Japanese, Spanish, Mandarin or Chinese; Japanese highly desired/beneficial
