SUMMARY

Seeking a Sales/Field Applications Engineer (West Division) superhero. Come and help us power up to the next level! This position reports to the Director of Sales and serves as a technical lead for assigned customers. The qualified candidate will provide premium technical service to tier 1 and OEM customers. SUMMARY

The OEM Business Development Manager will lead all activities at automotive OEMs to drive opportunities and achieve strategic goals. This position will have high visibility within ROHM and influence on the global strategy. The preferred person will have established relationships at automotive OEMs and be able to expand their network at all levels.

ROHM Semiconductor has an immediate full-time opening for a bilingual Quality Assurance Administrative Assistant. Qualified individuals must be able to provide overall administrative support for the Quality Assurance department. ROHM Semiconductor USA has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance/Control Engineer to support work initiatives and global semiconductor/consumer electronics product quality activities. This individual will provide technical support for ROHM product lines. The QAC Engineer will perform routine tasks of a moderate scope using established procedures and methods, conducts failure analysis for claims received from customers to ensure ROHMs products conform to quality standards; assures that product claims, support, and new designs are accomplished.

  • Conduct failure analysis and interface with the factory to resolve reported problems.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding technical and quality issues.
  • Maintain quantities of items necessary to operate the QA lab.

  • Adhere to and develop internal operating procedures to eliminate errors which affect productivity and add cost in company's operations.
  • Translate or edit reports from QA Japan for customer distribution and comprehension.

Description

ROHM Semiconductor has a great opportunity for an Account Manager in our Sales division. This role will interact with customers through ROHM's sales channels which include pre-sale and post-sale activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily to include but not limited to:

  • Coordinate sales efforts for direct accounts within the given territory
  • Maintain an increase the business share at your customer base
  • Work in conjunction with the outside sales team to increase the customer penetration
  • Deep knowledge of your customer base, with a focus on project tracking and management.
  • Coordinate pricing on a WW basis as needed for those global accounts like, EMS, automotive or Japanese
  • Full support for delivery problems and escalation for given accounts
  • Provide and maintain accurate forecast for budget and capacity planning
  • Execute PCN changes directed from our production divisions
  • Become a liaison between our HQ in Japan and the customer base to correctly execute our corporate’s direction
  • Monitor and control costs associated with field sales activity, such as supply chain solutions, minimum order quantities, and minimum order values, to maximize profitability
  • Support accounts receivable with unresolved payment problems
 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or Sales/Marketing; or equivalent combination of education/training and work experience; or equivalent industry work experience.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience (4-6 years exp. desired) in a sales environment, preferably in the semiconductor market, either in outside sales or inside sales job positions, or in the manufacturing industry in purchasing or project management roles
  • Fluent English is required to correctly communicate with all involved parties
  • Excellent communication, coordination and multitasking skills
 

Background and Knowledge of:

  • Must be able to understand the market challenges and ROHM's business processes and product lines, market segments, etc.
  • Some technical background in Electronics would be helpful but not required
  • Demonstrated experience in successful customer and team relationships
  • Electronics Distribution industry background/experience is a plus

ROHM Semiconductor USA, LLC has immediate openings for motivated, detailed Customer Service Representative with bilingual Japanese language abilities to become part of our Customer Service Sales Support team. This is a junior level role. The qualified Customer Service representative will be responsible for performing routine administrative and sales support duties including process orders, prepare correspondence and fulfill customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction. Interface with internal and external customers effectively and timely for the delivery of pre-and post-sales activities to maintain positive customer relations. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the industry. Relies on instruction and pre-established guidelines to plan and accomplish goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily to include but not limited to:

  • Perform administrative sales support tasks for outside/field sales, reps, accounting and other customer service sales team members
  • Data entry of customer orders
  • Respond to customers regarding product orders
  • Manage order information for customers (cross-references, stock availability, expediting orders, delivery dates, product specs, and pricing); modify orders per customer requests
  • Prepare quotes on orders for Outside Sales
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, outside sales, and other internal users by phone, email, and/or in person; (may include ROHM Japan counterparts)
  • Learn key features and benefits of ROHM products and service offerings to provide the appropriate product/service in a particular market or end user type
  • Develop existing ROHM customers into new business opportunities (NBO) by cross-selling into new projects and initiatives
  • Participate in departmental meetings; stay abreast of current policies, trends and technologies in the industry
  • Give feedback on processes and communicate insights based on customer behavior
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned
 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience/Training:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years' experience of performing customer service or related administrative sales support functions is required, preferably in a semiconductor, electronics or high-tech industry.
  • Minimum of HS degree or equivalent is required. Preferably 2 years' post-secondary education or training; or recent college graduate with a bachelors degree in business or office administration, or an equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
  • Database management and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel at intermediate level is essential), Internet and custom and other computerized-systems (testing may be given).
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven skills
  • Demonstrate professional business acumen
  • Strong communication abilities - oral, written,and listening
  • Possess effective organizational and negotiation skills
  • Bilingual skills are a plus - Japanese, Spanish, Mandarin or Chinese; Japanese especially desired/beneficial

  • Office/Business administration
  • Order management and sales concepts
  • Procurement, logistics, materials planning, inventory management and shipping/receiving concepts
  • Common and industry computer software applications
