If the A/D input has an impedance component, it takes time to charge the sample-and-hold capacitor inside the LSI. In order to avoid this, a capacitor is placed in the immediate vicinity of the A/D input pin of the microcontroller, so that charging from the capacitor to the sample-and-hold capacitor can be performed instantaneously without being affected by impedance. It is also added to prevent noise.
