The power supply voltage VDD may not exceed the detection release voltage. Reset ICs have hysteresis, and when the output becomes 'L' below the detection voltage, it will not switch to 'H' unless a release voltage higher than the detection voltage is exceeded. (In the overvoltage detection operation for the BD71L4L-1 series the magnitude relationship between the detection voltage and release voltage is reversed.)
