The input bias current (IB) described in the datasheet indicates the current flowing into or out from the input terminal, but please specify the direction.
When the input is a bipolar transistor, base current will flow. For an NPN current will flow in (and out with a PNP). But when the input is a MOSFET current will not flow to the gate, and the difference of the reverse leakage current of the protection diode on the VDD-VSS side becomes the input bias current. There are cases of inflow/outflow due to variability in leakage, with an absolute value on the order of pA at room temperature.Related Link:Technical Document
