3-Phase Motor Driver IC for Automotive Systems BD16805FV-M
The BD16805FV-M is a 3-phase motor driver designed for AC blower motors, cooling fans for batteries and car seats, and more. 180° energization PWM drive minimizes motor drive noise, while advance angle control is built in for high-efficiency drive. In addition, the lock protection time, overcurrent protection limit, PWM frequency, and startup time can be adjusted externally, ensuring compatibility with various motor control methods.
Highlight 1: Sine wave drive system (180° energization) adopted for significantly reduced noise
With conventional square-wave drive (120° energization), motor drive noise is generated during sudden changes in motor output current. In contrast, ROHM's sine-wave drive method (180° energization) ensures that the motor output current is a sine wave, ensuring silent drive operation.
Highlight 2: Advance angle control function ensures low power consumption
Torque can be maximized by matching the phase of the induced voltage and output current of the motor. In addition, standby current consumption is 10uA max., contributing to lower system power consumption.
