The BD70522GUL is an ultra-compact (1.76 x 1.56 x 0.57mm) DC/DC converter featuring variable switching frequency between 0 and 1MHz, depending on the load. It supports input from 2.5V to 5.5V and delivers a wide range of output voltages: 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.0V, 2.5V, 2.8V, 3.0V, 3.2V or 3.3V. Output voltage accuracy is ±2.0% (at 10mA), and the maximum output current 500mA. This new DC/DC converter is ideal for compact battery-powered devices such as wearables, sensor nodes and industrial equipment (i.e. alarms, electronic shelf labels)...

The Industry's First Power Supply ICs for
Hi-Fi Audio
Improves audio quality from power supply lines by combining proprietary analog and sound reproduction technologies
Hi-Fi Audio IC.jpg
The BD372xx series are the first audio power supply ICs to combine leading-edge analog and sound reproduction technologies. In addition to integrating a newly developed fast response error amp circuit and low-noise architecture, multiple parameters that were shown to affect audio quality in the development and manufacturing processes were optimized via real-world listening tests, resulting in industry-leading performance in all key characteristics (voltage stability, noise level, and power supply symmetry) required by power supplies for audio equipment...

PCB Layout of DC/DC Converters - Feedback Path Wiring
When considering signal wiring in general, particular care must be taken when designing wiring for feedback signals. As indicated in the circuit diagram in Figure 7-a, the output voltage is divided by resistors and fed back to the FB pin of the power supply IC (error amp input) via wiring, and the power supply IC stabilizes the output voltage based on this voltage information. What is important about the feedback path is...

SpiderMAV: A Solution to Drone Perching and Flight Stabilization
spidermav-spider-web-like-support.jpg
Using a modified DJI Matrice 100 drone, researchers at the Aerial Robotics Laboratory in the U.K.’s Imperial College London developed a proof-of-concept for new perching technology that was presented in late 2017 at the Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS) conference in Vancouver. Modeled off of a spiderweb support structure, the modular additions of the SpiderMAV are capable of launching spider-like threads to secure an airborne drone to nearby surfaces...
