500mA Output LDO Regulators with Voltage Detector and Watchdog Timer - BD3020HFP

BD3020HFP is a regulator IC with integrated WDT (Watch Dog Timer), high output voltage accuracy ±2.0% and 80µA (Typ) low circuit current consumption. These are supports usage of low ESR ceramic capacitor for output stability. The reset detection voltage can be adjusted by connecting resistors on the Vs terminal. They can be a stable power supply for any applications while detecting malfunction of microcontrollers.

Simple Test Method for Estimating the Stability of Linear Regulators

Low drop-out (LDO) regulators developed back in the age when large-capacitance multi-layer ceramic capacitors (hereinafter, MLCCs) were uncommon cause a phase delay, leading to oscillation when connected to a low-ESR capacitor like an MLCC...

Thermal Calculation for Linear Regulator

The loss in linear regulators increases as the difference between the input and output voltages increases. Since most of the loss is converted to heat, a very large amount of heat may be generated in some conditions...

Power Source ON/OFF Characteristics for Linear Regulator

When a linear regulator IC is turned ON, the electric charge is stored in the output capacitor and the output voltage increases up to the specified value.
