Our ROHM Powervation (RPV) group is actively seeking a motivated, seasoned Digital AC/DC and Isolated DC/DC Technical Product Marketing Manager to contribute to the team from our Santa Clara headquartered location.

The Technical Product Marketing Manager is responsible for coordinating the RPV operational activities related to a specific market. From the planning and execution through the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with LSI engineering team, other ROHM sales, business development, marketing and support to ensure the revenue growth and goals are met.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily to include but not limited to:

  • Gathers and interprets and gives feedback on customer requirements
  • Be an expert with respect to the associated technology, products and competition
  • Delivers MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience/Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or related disciplines) is required; advance degrees Master's or Ph.D. ideal, preferred; or combination of education and industry work experience
  • Minimum 6-10 year's digital power electronics experience in recent technologies and demonstrated skills & background supporting sales and marketing environment in Semiconductor/Electronics industry
  • Experience and understanding of networking & telecom applications, server market, gaming console and modular power supply manufactures
  • Experience and understanding of computing (serve, workstation, high-end motherboard, IPC)
  • Experience with Intel and AMD based voltage regulator specs & proprietary interfaces
  • Experience related to isolated DC/DC power supplies and Power Factor Correction circuits a plus
  • Experience with digital (full-digital and hybrid) and analog PWM controllers, and understanding of trade-off, advantages of each, and market trends
  • Long-term experience in product marketing and technical support activities
  • Experience in managing technical products

Background and Knowledge of:

  • Deep technical background in Power Electronics
  • Understanding of digital power, SMBus/I2C interfaces and PMBus command set
  • Understanding of controller, gate driver, & high voltage power devices for these converters, as well as design trade-offs related to EMI filtering techniques and design decisions
  • Understanding of basics of transformer design (materials used & trade-offs, and how design decisions affect cost, manufacturability, and system performance)

Application Engineer- Power

The Power Applications Engineer provides detailed device and application knowledge, assisting sales in product promotions and end customer selection and design-in process. Provide both hardware and software technical support for ROHM Powervation (RPB) digital power products

  • Assist in resolving customer technical issues
  • Support sales in promoting RPV products, including the application circuit design
  • Create reference designs and demo boards for end applications using RPV products
  • Validate new silicon or firmware products by creating test plans and using a combination of python automation and manual testing.
  • Collect customer input to drive Market Requirement Documents for new products proposals
  • Perform product benchmarking and competitive analysis
  • Support global marketing with trade-shows, product trainings, demos, and marketing collateral
  • Provide detailed technical knowledge within a specific market segment
  • Liaises with LSI teams, system test engineers to ensure resolution of customer returns

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience/Training:

  • BSEE minimum requirement; MSEE or PhD is highly desired and related semiconductor/electronic industry experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in digital POL, designing application boards and developing SW drivers; creating test reports and validating products; supporting customer design wins, either directly or indirectly (along with Sales/FAEs)

  • Point of load (POL) high current buck power supplies for use in computing and networking markets
  • Digital control techniques and working with digital controlled (through an interface) power supplies.

SUMMARY

ROHM has an immediate opening for a regular, fulltime Technical Regional Sales Manager. Seeking an experienced hunter to sell ROHM's products. The primary responsibilities may include finding, generating, and developing new OEM partners in order to sell ROHM's products to customers; develops new accounts and or expands existing, having experience supporting accounts with an emphasis in power management (PMIC) technologies. Customers may be geographic or named accounts. Monitors and directs sales/distribution representatives within an assigned area; interfaces with customers to negotiate contracts, sell products and serve as a first-line source of technical information. Qualified candidate will drive to build and maintain sales support to customers regarding technical issues, documentation, and design-in of products. Position ownership includes but not limited to, manage both customers and various resources within the company to meet financial, strategic and customer specific goals. Serves as the primary point of contact with an assigned area and/or for specific programs at existing customers. You will actively direct and coordinate the technical stage of the sales process working with all functional internal and external groups, such as sales team and engineering units.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Principal Systems Architect

SUMMARY

ROHM Semiconductor has an immediate opportunity for a regular, fulltime Systems Architect to join and contribute in our ROHM Powervation group. A Principal Systems Architect is responsible for imparting leadership of technical activities at the system level for semiconductor component development. In this position, the engineer will be responsible for initial design and development of high current controllers for computing and networking market segments, defining product requirements and creating high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems and platforms.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as system architect and technical specialist for applicable customer programs
  • Support RFQ activities related to applicable customer programs
  • Perform behavioral modeling in Matlab/Simulink, focus on high current DC/DC controller for computing and networking markets (i.e., Vcore and memory power supply controllers)
  • Manage and resolve program technical issues. Track and resolve customer issues.
  • Interface with our customers and internal Product Engineering team members to arrange a successful resolutions
  • Documentation of architecture specification
  • High-level customer and FAE support, present technology in fron of lead customers
  • Occasional Travel overseas (includes Ireland or Japan); and US
  • Conduct, at times, behavioral modeling in Simplis
  • Support multiple business units with activities- planning, estimating, and developing requirements in compliance with established development process
  • Liaise as technical point of contact to applicable suppliers. Manage and follow-up with technical action items

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience/Training:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering; or Ph.D. beneficial with focus on power electronics
  • 10+ years of systems architect experience with focus on power electronic
  • Experience working on digital controllers is a plus
  • Experience developing VR controllers for ecosystems is highly desirable

Background and Knowledge of:

  • Control Theory (voltage mode, current mode, constant on-time (COT), hysteretic), digital control theory, switching power supply topologies (emphasis on multi-phase buck), simulation, testing and verification using lab equipment
  • Work experience/skills - Matlab/Simulink, Simulation, time and frequency domain analysis, DC/DC high current switching power supply

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our fun and creative team. The candidate should be an energetic marketing professional who works collabortively with team members to develop compelling, well-executed events. Candidates must have strong organizational and project management skills, be an excellent communicator, work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task on several projects simultaneously with on-time and on-budget results. Event management includes planning and execution, including booth design, exhibit/show management, staffing, vendor sourcing and management and pre- and post-show promotion and communications. In addition, manage customer meeting and manage trainings, accommodations, sponsorships, vendor management and on- and off-site logistics. Effective event measurement and analysis is critical to event execution success. Additionally, candidate MUST have experience coordinating ALL marketing collateral, merchandise and promotion materials to each event as well as handle all on- and off-site logistics.

  • Ensure all tradeshows are produced within established budget guidelines. Budget and fiscal responsibility on assigned events including accuracy, forecasting and management
  • Fulfill role in Internal planning process as required on assigned shows
  • Manage end-to-end all trade shows and events, strategy, logistics and execution
  • Establish and monitor event budgets
  • Coordinate speakers opportunities and submission of products for "best in show" when applicable
  • Generate leads to help drive growth and capture share in ROHM's target segments

Education/Experience/Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Sales, Business Administration, Event Planning or related discipline
  • Ideally 3-5 years of successful, demonstrated work experience in event planning and project management required

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training and Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years experience in design application boards and developing SW drivers
