Technical Product Marketing Rep- Semiconductor Distribution

SUMMARY

ROHM Semiconductor has an immediate opening for a Technical Product Marketing Manager - Channel Sales with a focus in Distribution. Our Marketing Rep will interact with distributor partners, and internal marketing and engineering resources, by editing and creating technical collateral, scheduling co-op campaigns, communicating product enhancements, introductions, and highlighting technical advantages to distributors, reps and customers. Researching competitive pricing, working with our Product Marketing Manager to launch products to our channel partners effectively is also a primary function of this position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily to include but not limited to:

  • Communicate externally by describing our focus product capabilities to franchised Distributors and Representatives within our sales channels
  • Communicate internally to prepare the launch and promotion of focus products
  • Communicate internally with HQ in Japan on availability issues and potentially W/W Registrations
  • Find target customers by reviewing market trends and success in various regions
  • Organize monthly Sales Rep Calls.
  • Work with distributors to help create and maintain product training collateral online.
  • Understand why products are not reaching the target customers and provide solutions
  • Coordinate New Product Introductions/Launches with MarCom
  • Assist with Volume Quotes and Registrations with Distributors
  • Data analysis for all Distributions, including POS and Quote Log
  • Support Focus Product Promotions
  • Conduct presentations as required
  • Interact with and support our Design Center, FAE, and Sales team members

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Statistics/Data Analytics, Business, or Marketing; or applicable major or equivalent combination of education/training and work experience; or equivalent industry work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years work history and demonstrated skills & background supporting a sales and marketing environment preferably in semiconductor, electronics or equivalent industry.

Background, skills and knowledge of:

  • Must be able to understand the market challenges and ROHM's business processes and product lines, market segments, etc.
  • Some technical background in Electronics is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in successful customer and team relationships
  • Electronics Distribution industry background/experience is a plus
  • Understanding semiconductor products, manufacturing processes and their applications is beneficial
  • Must be fluent in MS Office Suite
  • Formulate presentations and present the information to customers and management as needed
  • Strong oral, written, and listening communication skills to help resolve outstanding issues and ensure project completion
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in Catalog Numbers, Internal Part Numbers, and Customer Part Numbers
  • Database experience and statistical analysis is highly desired
  • Experience with a Japanese Business environment is a plus

Automotive Regional Sales Manager (Semiconductor)

SUMMARY

We are actively seeking a motivated developing to career level Automotive Sales Manager with a background in electrical engineering to assist in supplying automotive electronics related components or systems to our Tier 1 or 2 accounts and customer support as part of our sales divisions.

Summary

Seeking a motivated individual to manage US automotive accounts, increase the sales and maintain the profits. Interface with automotive and consumer electronics customers to negotiate contracts, win new business opportunities, build relationships, sell products and act as a first-line source of technical information. This position reports a Sr. Sales Manager and serves as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibility. Qualified candidate will drive to build and maintain sales support to customers regarding technical issues, documentation, and design-in of products. Responsibility includes but not limited to, manage both customers and various resources within the company to meet financial, strategic and customer specific goals. Serve as the primary point of contact within an assigned area and/or for specific programs at existing customers. You will actively direct and coordinate the technical stage of the sales process working with all functional internal and external groups, such as sales team and engineering units.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily to include but not limited to:

  • Contact new and existing customers at many levels to promote, sell, and win the design-in of ROHM products
  • Ensure Quarterly Business Reviews are conducted at each representative location and follow-up with actions items
  • Provides assistance to customers through improved localized service
  • Provides in-depth knowledge of major customers and provides direction to ROHM team members regarding specific customer activities
  • Assist in all quoting activity for annual contracts and major bids
  • Assist Product Marketing groups with the implementation of sales plans and sales growth for specific accounts
  • Generate reports and perform forecasting duties
  • Monitor and control cost of field sales activities
  • Travel up to about 35% (domestic and international)

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business or Marketing; or applicable major or equivalent combination of education/training and work experience, or equivalent industry work experience
  • Ideally 3-7 year's current work history and demonstrated skills & background supporting a sales and marketing environment in Semiconductor, Electronics (Automotive/Consumer) industry.

Background and Knowledge of:

  • Must be able to understand the market challenges and ROHM's business processes and product lines, market segments, and applications
  • Some technical background in Electronics would be helpful
  • Demonstrated experience in successful customer and team relationships
  • Electronics Distribution industry experience is a plus
  • Understanding semiconductor products, manufacturing processes and their applications
  • Strong computer proficiency and abilities, especially, MS Office Suite; spreadsheets, databases and Internet
  • Formulate and deliver presentations and demos
  • Strong analytical skills
