SUMMARY

Seeking a motivated individual to manage US automotive accounts, increase the sales and maintain the profits. Interface with automotive and consumer electronics customers to negotiate contracts, win new business opportunities, build relationships, sell products and act as a first-line source of technical information. This position reports a Sr. Sales Manager and serves as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibility. Qualified candidate will drive to build and maintain sales support to customers regarding technical issues, documentation, and design-in of products. Responsibility includes but not limited to, manage both customers and various resources within the company to meet financial, strategic and customer specific goals.   • Minimum of 4 years of experience in all | most of the following technical skills in: power management, microcontrollers, sensors, AC DC, DC DC, battery management and a broad range of other market applications.

The Technical Product Marketing Manager is responsible for coordinating the RPV operational activities related to a specific market. From the planning and execution through the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with LSI engineering team, other ROHM sales, business development, marketing and support to ensure the revenue growth and goals are met.

  • Minimum 6-10 year's digital power electronics experience in recent technologies and demonstrated skills & background supporting sales and marketing environment in Semiconductor/Electronics industry
  • Experience and understanding of networking & telecom applications, server market, gaming console and modular power supply manufactures

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience/Training:

  • BSEE minimum requirement; MSEE or PhD is highly desired and related semiconductor/electronic industry experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in digital POL, designing application boards and developing SW drivers; creating test reports and validating products; supporting customer design wins, either directly or indirectly (along with Sales/FAEs)

In this position, the engineer will be responsible for initial design and development of high current controllers for computing and networking market segments, defining product requirements and creating high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems and platforms.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as system architect and technical specialist for applicable customer programs
  • Support RFQ activities related to applicable customer programs
  • Perform behavioral modeling in Matlab/Simulink, focus on high current DC/DC controller for computing and networking markets (i.e., Vcore and memory power supply controllers)
  • Manage and resolve program technical issues. Track and resolve customer issues.
  • Interface with our customers and internal Product Engineering team members to arrange a successful resolutions
  • Documentation of architecture specification
  • High-level customer and FAE support, present technology in fron of lead customers
  • Occasional Travel overseas (includes Ireland or Japan); and US
  • Conduct, at times, behavioral modeling in Simplis
  • Support multiple business units with activities- planning, estimating, and developing requirements in compliance with established development process
  • Liaise as technical point of contact to applicable suppliers. Manage and follow-up with technical action items

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience/Training:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering; or Ph.D. beneficial with focus on power electronics
  • 10+ years of systems architect experience with focus on power electronic
  • Experience working on digital controllers is a plus
  • Experience developing VR controllers for ecosystems is highly desirable

Background and Knowledge of:

  • Control Theory (voltage mode, current mode, constant on-time (COT), hysteretic), digital control theory, switching power supply topologies (emphasis on multi-phase buck), simulation, testing and verification using lab equipment
  • Work experience/skills - Matlab/Simulink, Simulation, time and frequency domain analysis, DC/DC high current switching power supply

SUMMARY

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
