ROHM Semiconductor USA has an immediate opening for an exceptional Applications Embedded Engineer with both hardware and software skills to provide detailed device and application knowledge, assisting sales in product promotions and end customer selection and design-in process. The qualified candidate for this position will get to work with leading companies in consumer, wearable, and IOT space while providing input in the concept stage of the design process. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily to include but not limited to:

  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to provide technical support during the promotional phase and cross referencing
  • Work closely with customers to provide telephone and onsite technical support during the design phase
  • Work closely with the development teams to assist in the validation process
  • Work closely with the marketing team to carry out competitor device tear downs, system BOM analysis and incubate/prototype new designs
  • Generate application notes, schematics, board layouts, BOM, internal/external reports, and plans
  • Work with 3rd party design houses and subcontracts
  • Perform detailed electrical analysis at device, system, HW, and SW levels
  • Participate in new product design reviews both internally and externally.
  • Run internal and external training program as well as design the material needed for the training

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a technical subject (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mix-signal design, etc.); Master's is desirable.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in designing mixed signal consumer electronics products
  • 4 to 10 years' experience working in a semiconductor industry, designing applications circuits, SW drivers, and SW apps
  • Ability to multitask within and across different projects
  • Proficient verbal and written English language skills, Japanese language will be a plus
  • Experience working for a Japanese company is a plusPossess a good degree of professional business acumen

  • Equipment knowledge - EDA Tools, Analytical Software, MatLab, development environment software; Object or component oriented development software, scripting languages; Signal generators, circuit testers, electronic measuring probes, oscilloscopes, and Semiconductor process systems. PC, Mobile/wireless devices (Smart Phones, Tablets, Ultrabooks, etc)
  • Markets/Applications: PC, Mobile, Automotive, Office automation, Security and Handheld device markets; Smart Meters, Electronic Tags, Security Tags, Navigation, Medical, Audio and Video, and Software
  • Consult end users to test and debug applications to meet customer needs; assists in resolving customer technical issues

Sales Account Manager

SUMMARY

ROHM Semiconductor has an immediate opening for an experienced Regional Sales Account Manager to monitor and direct sales and distribution representatives within an assigned area. This energetic and motivated individual will drive sales by interfacing with customers to negotiate contracts, sell our products and serve as a first-line source of information. This position reports to the Sr. National Sales Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily to include but not limited to:

  • Work with and manage the Northeast sales reps (QBRs, Training, etc.)
  • Work with and manage our distribution activity (QBRs, Training, etc.)
  • Generate and manage new NBOs in the territory directly or through our rep and distribution partners
  • See NBOs through from opportunity to design win
  • Communicate effectively with Japanese counterparts
  • Communicate effectively with Design Center teams
  • Document and track all design in activities in the ROHM CRM
  • Forecast monthly and yearly sales activity
  • Achieve sales forecast and design win targets
  • Follow up and pursue all new lead activity generated for the territory

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent(e.g., related Engineering ); BSEE highly preferred
  • 3+ years in selling electronic components

Sales Account Manager (Electronics/Semiconductor Engineer)

SUMMARY

Seeking a motivated individual to manage US automotive accounts, increase the sales and maintain the profits. Interface with Tier 1 level customers to negotiate contracts, sell products and act as a first-line source of technical information. This position reports a Sr. Sales Manager and serves as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibility. Qualified candidate will drive to build and maintain sales support to customers regarding technical issues, documentation, and design-in of products. Responsibility includes but not limited to, manage both customers and various resources within the company to meet financial, strategic and customer specific goals. Serve as the primary point of contact within an assigned area and/or for specific programs at existing customers. You will actively direct and coordinate the technical stage of the sales process working with all functional internal and external groups, such as sales team and engineering units.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contact new and existing customers at many levels to promote, sell, and win the design-in of ROHM products
  • Ensure Quarterly Business Reviews are conducted at each representative location and follow-up with actions items

  • Provides in-depth knowledge of major customers and provides direction to ROHM team members regarding specific customer activities
  • Assist in all quoting activity for annual contracts and major bids

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business or Marketing; or applicable major or equivalent combination of education/training and work experience, or equivalent industry work experience
  • Preferably 1-3 year's current work history and demonstrated skills & background supporting a sales and marketing environment in Semiconductor, Electronics (Automotive) or similar industry

Background and Knowledge of:

  • Must be able to understand the market challenges and ROHM's business processes and product lines, market segments, and applications
  • Some technical background in Electronics would be helpful

Senior Process Development Engineer, Kionix

Education:

B.S or M.S in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or related field.

Requirements:

  • 5 + years experience with MEMS process development.
  • Experience with multiple semiconductor fabrication techniques such as silicon, metal, and dielectric etching; metal, LPCVD polysilicon, and dielectric deposition; and, lithography.
  • Strong preference to those with MEMS specific process experience such as through-wafer etching, TSVs, Eutectic bonding, wafer-to-wafer bonding, HF release.
  • Proficient at using design of experiments, failure analysis methodologies, FESEM analysis, and statistical process controls for process optimization and control.
  • Self-motivated and adept at oral and written presentations
