SUMMARY

Seeking a motivated invdividual to manage US automotive accounts, increase the sales and maintain the profits. We are seeking a results-proven and results-driven leader who will inspire, motivate and expand our embedded software and algorithm team to success while providing complete software solutions for Kionix sensors. This position will serve a dual role as algorithm expert and architect. We are seeking talent with escalating hands-on responsibility in software engineering development and industry-related MEMS sensors experience. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and lead software, algorithm, and test team
  • Invent and patent proprietary motion processing algorithms that make use of Kionix and ROHM sensors
  • Lead resource optimization efforts on memory and CPU-cycle constrained embedded targets
  • Manage software programs covering a wide range of target capabilities and operating systems, including embedded hub sensor processors such as Cortex M0+; Android and WIN8 SOCs; Sensor device drivers in a variety of formats; Sensor fusion, including auto calibration of all sensors; Fixed point implementation; context awareness/activity monitoring and solution certification consistent with Windows Logo and Android Compatibility Compliance.
  • Adapt software process as appropriate to ensure system reliability while maintaining highly efficient development
  • Leverage new technologies to create more engaging business experiences
  • Develop engineering talent: provide guidance and mentorship for team leads
  • Continuously improve test/regression/deployment process
  • Interface with/lead advanced international field support efforts for customer solutions
  • Oversee work with reference design partners

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience and Education/Training:

  • Master's or Ph.D. or equivalent in Software Engineering, Math, Physics or related discipline
  • Minimum 8+ years software development management experience
  • Minimum 4+ years managing embedded software development experience
  • Experienced with setting/adapting software and test processes
  • Proven track record of delivering successful high volume products
  • Proven track record of personally inventing novel IP with a strong signal processing component

  • Patented inventions in MEMS, GPS, Audio, Touch Sensors or other field related to sensor technology a plus

PURPOSE

  • 2-4 years experience in marketing or related function at an agency or internal marcom department
  • Consumer electronics or semiconductor industry exposure/experience a plus
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel (perform simple formulas & costs), and familiarity with databases- testing may be applied
  • Proofing and editing related materials
  • Demonstrated background in event coordinating/planning through completion

Background and knowledge of:

  • Excellent project management, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Results-driven, proactive & able to work autonomously
  • Flexible, can change directions in rapidly evolving work and market environment
  • Comfortable with web-based project management tools and collaboration technologies
  • Standard and online advertising methodologies

  • Excellent skills in: Communication (oral, written, and listening), customer service, organizational, analytical and negotiation.
  • Collaborate with internal/external teams
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities. Must be detailed-oriented and able to multitask and manage workload and determine priorities.
  • Ability to meet travel requirements (average 5 tradeshows annually)
  • Possess a valid driver's license and current auto insurance
  • Ability to relate to and work with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Works effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong command of the English language (written/oral)
