550mA Output LDO Regulator with WDT and Voltage Detector - BD4271FP2-C

BD4271FP2-C is automotive voltage regulator with watchdog timer and offers the output current of 550mA while limiting the quiescent current low. A logical “HIGH” at the CTL pin enables the LDO regulator and “LOW” disables the LDO regulator and keeps current consumption low. A reset signal is generated for an output voltage VO of Typ 4.65V. The reset delay time and watchdog time (WDT) can be programmed by the external capacitor.

Simple Test Method for Estimating the Stability of Linear Regulators

Low drop-out (LDO) regulators developed back in the age when large-capacitance multi-layer ceramic capacitors (hereinafter, MLCCs) were uncommon cause a phase delay, leading to oscillation when connected to a low-ESR capacitor like an MLCC...

Thermal Calculation for Linear Regulator

The loss in linear regulators increases as the difference between the input and output voltages increases. Since most of the loss is converted to heat, a very large amount of heat may be generated in some conditions...
