  • What is the ESR-Io stable operating region?
    • An output capacitor is necessary in order to prevent output oscillation. The ESR-Io stable operating region shows the relationship between the ESR of the capacitor and the stable operating region of the IC, and is measured using a ceramic capacitor and resistor connected in series. Therefore, it is highly recommended that operation be verified under actual usage conditions when using an electrolytic capacitor or a ceramic capacitor with a capacitance out of the recommended range, since this, along with the wiring and load impedances, will affect stable operating region.
