Xilinx 7 Series FPGA Power Supply Module Board
ROHM, together with Avnet Internix Co., Ltd., a Japanese operating company of the US-based Avenet Electronics Marketing Group (EM Group), a leading distributor of electronic components and embedded solutions, have co-developed a power supply module board optimized for Xilinx's 7 Series FPGA and Zynq®-7000 All Programmable SoC evaluation kit.
ROHM is the first Japanese supplier to team up with Avnet's global design team, which is responsible for supplying high quality, high reliability power module solutions. This power module, which reflects the demands of the Japanese market, is designed for Avnet's mini module plus development system. Worldwide sales and support will be provided by Avnet Internix.
ROHM's power supply module board integrates the BD95601MUV and BD95602MUV power supply ICs featuring original fast transient response H3RegTM technology that meets Xilinx's 7 Series FPGA requirements. The board is capable of generating 8 different supply voltages from 12V input that satisfy the accuracy specifications required for FPGA, and supports power supply startup sequence operation. In addition to fast transient response, high efficiency is ensured - up to 95%. Plus, high efficiency is maintained even during light loads through pulse skip operation.
Combining ROHM's optimized, high-performance power supply module board with Avnet's evaluation kit reduces customer design load significantly, shortening time-to-market.
ROHM and Avnet will seek to deepen future collaborations from this joint venture by developing and manufacturing a variety of evaluation kits and power supply modules that accelerate user product development and by providing comprehensive, consistent sales and product support.
