Two types of searches are offered:site search – used when searching for
publically available information, and catalog search for viewing detailed product
information such as specifications and package data.
Site Search
Full text search capability.
- Search parameters include normal web pages (i.e. html, php) and PDF documents.
- Searches based on English text, in units of a single
word or character, separated by spaces.
- When performing a search based on text and characters separated by
spaces the engine will find pages containing all keywords (AND search).
- AND, OR, and ANDNOT searches are possible by including them in the
search box. Parenthesis can be used in different combinations for various search types.
- Application AND LSI
In this case results will include both application and LSI.
- IrDA AND (package OR RPM871)
The engine will search for IrDA and for either package
or RPM871.(or both)
- Block diagram ANDNOT phone
Searches for all block diagrams except for those for phone.
- The system does not distinguish between upper/lower case characters/letters.
- “ROHM”, “Rohm”, and “rohm” will result in the hits.
- Clicking on the “Filter based on Category” will sort based on relevant
category. (Possible to select among multiple categories.)

Catalog Search
Performs a search of all relevant PDF files.
- Includes all public PDF files in ROHM’s public database.

- General search method similar to site search.
- Clicking on a thumbnail image on the results page will display the image in full size.
- Clicking on [Thumbnail Preview] on the results page will display a list of thumbnail PDF image files. Clicking on a thumbnail image will show the image in full size.
- Clicking on [Slide Preview] on the results page will bring up a slide of PDF image files. Clicking on an image file will display the image in full size.
