Kyoto International Music Students Festival 2006

We are pleased to inform you that the performance was a great success and attracted many people who attended the concert. Thank you very much.

We presented the 15th Kyoto International Music Students Festival 2007, an annual musical event held each spring in Kyoto. The Festival invited 114 students of premier music schools from 10 countries (23 students from 9 schools in 9 foreign countries and 91 students from 12 schools in Japan) to Kyoto to foster international exchange through music and to develop the skills of the young musicians. The Festival has been held 15 times in the past with 1,724 music students participating (341 from overseas, 1,383 from Japan). By performing at the Festival, these students have used music as a meaning to deepen their understanding each other. This year’s Festival featured a finale of works by a Italian composer to Hilghlights of the Magnificent world of Itarian Opera. Many people enjoyed the new musical perspective and performances of wonderful sensitivity of these young musicians from around the world.
