Pre-amplifiers with built-in ALC

The BA3308F / FV ICs were developed for stereo radio cassette and tape recorders. Two preamps for recording / playback and an ALC circuit are built into a compact SOP14 / SSOP-B14 package. High performance operation is ensured due to the direct coupling method and built-in ALC detection circuit.

Features

Direct coupling method eliminates the need for an input coupling capacitor
The BA3308F / FV input circuit utilizes the direct coupling method that operates using GND as the reference, eliminating the need for an input coupling capacitor (previously required between the microphone or tape head connected to the input). In addition, the DC potential of the input terminal in conventional circuits would change when the power supply was turned ON or OFF, giving rise to the possibility of popping noise generation or DC magnetization of the microphone or tape head. However, with the direct coupling method, the DC potential of the input terminal is fixed at 0V, regardless of whether the power supply is ON or OFF, eliminating potential problems.
