ROHM capacitive sensor switch control ICs detect capacitive changes as a voltage and outputs a digital signal. A variety of algorithms are included, enabling support for touch switch, gesture, and slider operation.
The capacitance change between an object (i.e. finger) and the sensor is converted to voltage, then output digitally via an internal ADC.
