LED Indicator Driver

ROHM's LED driver features serial / parallel conversion and 4-line (clock, data, latch, shutdown) control. The standby conditions can be set via the SDWN (Shutdown) terminal. In addition, high voltage resistance enables direct driving from a battery with up to 50mA of output current.

Features

High voltage resistance output ports eliminate the need for external high voltage resistance power transistors

ROHM's LED driver utilizes a high voltage resistance Nch DMOSFET at the output, allowing direct connection of LEDs and eliminating the need for power transistors, reducing costs as well as freeing up valuable board space. However, the maximum voltage resistance of 35V necessitates additional countermeasures, such as connecting power Zener diodes on the battery line.
