System LED Drivers for Mobile Phones

The market for LCDs is expanding from the core sectors of PCs and mobile phones to portable audio players and printers. ROHM offers an expanded lineup of LED drivers for LCD backlights, designed to drive 1 to 96 lamps. A variety of types are available, including drivers with dimmers for lower power consumption, compact units with an integrated LDO regulator, RGB drivers that reduce the software load, and models with built-in Flash that contribute to set miniaturization. Separate Flash and illumination drivers are also offered. In addition, two types of step-up systems are available - a high efficiency chopper type and a low noise charge pump type - ensuring widespread compatibility.
