High Reliability, High Speed CMOS Op Amp / Comparators Featuring Low Power Consumption

ROHM's new CMOS op-amp / comparators allow operation from 1.8V, ensuring compatibility with the latest low-voltage CPU and DSP power supplies. Full-swing input/output capability makes it possible to handle all signals from GND to the power supply voltage, even at a low supply voltage level (Rail to rail input and output). ROHM's low power consumption type CMOS op-amps (BU7241G and BU7241SG) feature a low power consumption current of 70µA while CMOS comparators BU7231G and BU7231SG operate at 5µA, making them ideal for portable digital devices such as notebook PCs, digital cameras, and gaming devices, where energy efficiency is of critical importance.
ROHM's expanded lineup includes high-speed op-amps (BU7261G and BU7261SG) capable of a slew rate of 1.1V/µs as well as CMOS comparators (BU7251G and BU7251SG) delivering a response time of 0.55µs - optimal for audio/sensor signal processing in portable digital devices.
A total of twenty-four 1ch & 2ch CMOS op-amp / comparators are offered featuring either high speed or low power consumption. The entire lineup utilizes proprietary circuit technology for high ESD resistance (4kV) - twice that of previous models - without increasing the input bias current and several models (SG series) guarantee operation under a wide range of temperatures (-40ºC to 105ºC), contributing to increased reliability.

· Glossary
- Slew Rate:
Inputting a pulse with a fast rise time will cause the startup portion of the output to be sloped.Slew rate is the index expressing this slope (rate of change) and is a criterion for how much voltage amplitude the op-amp will be able to handle at high frequency.
- Response Time:
The amount of static electricity a device can withstand.
- ESD Resistance:
The amount of electrostatic voltage the device can withstand
- Bias Current:
The current that enters/exits the input terminal. A smaller value is better for op-amps and comparators.
