ML22(Q)56x: 2-channel mixing Audio Playback IC for an easy integration of audio features

The ML22(Q)56x Series is a high-quality Audio Playback IC with built-in Flash or Mask ROM. The IC, which includes a high-quality HQ-ADPCM decoder, 16-bit DAC, a low-pass filter, and a monaural speaker amplifier, incorporates all peripheral components necessary for audio output in a single chip. The device is provided with a variety of functions including 2-channel simultaneous playback and phrase control table.
The internal memory enables to store audio content for up to 160 seconds. By using the phrase control table function the maximum playback time can even be increased by storing recurring parts only once. ML22Q56x can generate silence phrases which results in further optimisation of the storage space.
