New LDOs closing the gap in the regulator line-up

ROHM Semiconductor introduces new LDO series to bridge the gap in the medium supply voltage range from 7 to 15V. The different regulator series now cover the whole supply range from 2.3 up to 50V, so that for every application the ideal regulator can be chosen. The output voltage range starts at 0.8V to comply with the power supply requirements from new controller families. An output current is supported up to a maximum of 2A.
The LDO series offer a wide range of optional features like an 0µA shutdown switch, compatibility to 1µF ceramic input and output capacitors (to save cost and PCB area) and compact high power packages like HTSOP-J8 (to have a high thermal dissipation). Standard protection circuits like thermal-shutdown and overcurrent protection are integrated in all ICs.
