ROHM has added an RDS-compatible FM transmitter to its popular lineup of broadcast-quality wireless audio link ICs.
Enable text transmission, such as broadcast station name, song title, and artist, by simply connecting to existing systems.

1.Display character information using the integrated RDS/RBDS encoder

Built-in encoder compatible with both RDS (Europe) and RBDS (North America) formats

Multiple Functions	•PI (Program Identification) : country, region, broadcast station codes
	•MS (Music Speech switch) : displays song and voice information
	•PTY (Program TYPE) : Content information (i.e. pop, rock, news, sports)
	•PS (Program Service name) : station name (8 characters max.)
	•RT (Radio Text) : song/artist name (64 characters max.)

2.High sound quality via digital audio interface

Full digital signal processing of all digital source files(i.e.MP3, AAC, WMA)
Suppresses noise for high fidelity audio.

3.Worldwide compatibility

Adjustments based on specification differences for each region and country is possible via I²C bus,
eliminating the need for hardware modifications, enabling common substrate and component use.
