High heat resistance high power LEDs for lighting

Overview

ROHM has added the “PSL01 Series” 1W, high-heat resistance and high-power white LEDs to its LED lineup for lighting applications, now of increasing demand.
These products feature high efficiency (105 lm/W) at high current (350mA). High heat resistance ceramic is used for high temperature operation (130ºC) with excellent resistance against sulfuration, making them ideal for indoor lighting applications. In addition, reproduction of red, which is a problem with conventional high brightness LEDs, as been greatly improved, resulting in an Ra≧95 for excellent color rendering performance.

Key Feature 1 : High power + High efficiency

Providing high luminous flux and high luminous efficiency.
Packages designed with ROHM's unique high-efficiency heat dissipation technology allow the LC to maintain high power at high currents, keeping the relative intensity at approx. 10% even after current application for 300 seconds.

Key Feature 2 : High heat resistance + High reliability

The PSL01 Series adopts a heat-resistant package of excellent heat resistance to guarantee operation at a high operating temperature of 130ºC.
Further, this Series adopts Au-plated interconnects with a ceramic package, ensuring that the luminous flux is maintained without causing discoloration due to sulfurization.This makes them suitable for use both indoors and out.
