ROHM's LVDS serial transmission LSIs are interface LSIs capable of high-speed data transmission (5Gbps max). Original differential technology ensures high resistance to external noise and low EMI, resulting in stable connection.
Improve sets by adding functionality
1.
If the transmission and receiving sides are properly connected LVDS communication is possible by simply supplying the clock and data.
2.
The LVDS serializer/deserializer pair (i.e. BU8254KVT/BU8255KVT) can relay uncompressed image data at a rate of 3.92Gbps, resulting in improved image quality.
3.
Serial differential method reduces the number of wires to approximately one-third that of normal LVCMOS relays.
4.
ROHM LVDS LSIs ensure high-definition resolution, even with cable lengths of 3m or more.
5.
LVCMOS normally transmits using a swing voltage of 3.3V. ROHM LVDS, however, features a swing voltage of 200mV (Low Swing Mode), resulting in lower EMI.
High speed transmission with fewer wires
ROHM LVDS ICs do not generate noise, are noise resistant, and can transmit large amounts of data at high speeds using fewer wires, making them ideally suited for a variety of sets.
