Overview

ROHM now offers Schottky barrier diodes in the compact high power KMD2 package, with plans to add Zener diodes to the lineup.
The KDM2 package utilizes proprietary device construction and ultra-fine process technology gleaned from development of the world's most compact small-signal diode package (GMD2: 0.6mm × 0.3mm). The KMD2 is the smallest power diode package in its class, measuring in at only 1.6mm × 0.8mm).

Ultra-compact 1.6mm×0.8mm package Guaranteed 500mW package power 60% smaller mounting area and volume than conventional 2513-size (1005 inch) products Bottom + side terminal configuration ensures excellent visibility during mounting The eco-friendly halogen-/Pb-free package is also RoHS-compliant
The side/bottom electrode configuration ensures superior visibility of the solder filet during mounting, simplifying inspection significantly.
