Overview

With the progression of compact devices towards greater functionality and miniaturization comes an increasing need for smaller, higher power resistors. ROHM meets this need with 0.2W anti-surge chip resistors in the 1005 (0402in) size, developed utilizing ultra-compact fine process, printing, and technologies.

Key Feature 1 : Compact, high power

Features include 3.2 times the rated power of ROHM's conventional products (guaranteed 0.2W), making it possible to replace 1608 (0603in) size units, reducing mounting area by 60%.

Key Feature 2 : Improved ESR resistance

The ESR01 Series utilizes an optimized resistive element pattern and material for superior surge characteristics and 2kV ESD resistance (HBM).

Key Feature 3 : Excellent anti-pulse characteristics

ROHM's 1005 (0402in) size resistors can be used in mobile phone strobe flash circuits currently employing 1608 (0603in) size anti-surge chip resistors, contributing to increased miniaturization.
