Overview

Optimized for multi-function, high performance battery-driven portable devices of all types, ROHM's DC/DC converters and controllers feature a wide input voltage range and automatic step-up/-down operation for reduced power consumption. High output efficiency is maintained across the entire input range. In addition, only one coil is used, and fewer parts are required than conventional Sepic systems, contributing to smaller power supply configurations. Step-up/-down Operation

Feature 1 : Compact single coil design

ROHM boost/buck automatic switching DC/DC regulators and controllers enable step-up/-down operation using a single coil for increased miniaturization. The controllers feature a form factor of only 3mmx3mm, while the regulators with built-in FET are only slightly larger – 4mmx4mm – making them ideal for compact applications of all types. Feature 2 : High efficiency (96% at Vo=3.3V/Io=0.2A) across the entire input voltage range

ROHM automatic buck/boost switching DC/DC regulators feature an ON-resistance of only 100mΩ at the output stage for high efficiency and low loss, while both regulators and controllers minimize wiring resistance at the high current terminals Vcc and GND, reducing loss even further.
