ROHM has developed the BD5421EFS, a stereo power Class D amplifier LSI utilizing leading edge BiCMOS processes that minimizes output transistor ON-resistance and line resistance. Efficiency is 90% - the highest in the industry, and the package features a backside heat sink with high heat dissipation characteristics, enabling 34W (17W + 17W) output without an external heat sink, contributing to end-product miniaturization in high fidelity audio sets.
