Advantages of ROHM's D/A converters for electronic adjustment
| With the proliferation of digital consumer devices comes increasingly sophisticated analog blocks requiring minute adjustments. Conventional manual adjustment methods using semi-fixed volume adjustments where the adjustments are made at the factory before shipment are inherently difficult to maintain and are susceptible to oscillation, requiring special countermeasures. ROHM's D/A converter LSIs. |

|
|
1. |
Unlike manual adjustment methods, control via microcontroller is possible, enabling multiple adjustments to be performed.
|
2. |
The voltage can be easily changed by varying the microcontroller settings.
|
3. |
Simply connect the D/A converter on the substrate for greater design flexibility.
|
4. |
Eliminates oscillation countermeasures that can adversely affect voltage settings.
|
5. |
No deterioration due to aging or poor contact results in greater reliability. |

ROHM D/A Converter LSIs for Electronic Adjustment.
- Conventional D/A converter output requires a specific amount of time in order to stabilize voltage due to the analog block. ROHM's D/C converters for electronic adjustment cuts the time to 1/3 and 1/15 the normal period with the 8bit and 10bit models, respectively, significantly decreasing the initial settings time.
- All models support a 10MHz clock frequency. Enables common use of serial interface for high speed data transmission with other high speed operation devices.
- All models support a 10MHz clock frequency. Enables common use of serial interface for high speed data transmission with other high speed operation devices.
- High ESD resistance and no vibration-less system prevent contact failures and deterioration due to wear and tear, resulting in greater precision and higher reliability.
