ROHM's LCD backlight LED driver series provide unprecedented clarity to LCDs. A number of circuits are integrated into a single chip, including a brightness adjustment block, high-performance constant current driver, and multiple protection circuits, increasing functionality while freeing up valuable board space. A complete lineup is offered, optimized for panels of all sizes.
Features of ROHM's LCD backlight LED driver LSIs

Select the ideal LED driver based on the panel size, from small to large. A broad lineup is available in various LED lamp configurations.

Inverter-less charge pump and high efficiency chopper systems are used to generate the voltage necessary for lighting LEDs. ROHM offers both step-up voltage types for LCD backlight applications.
3.
Multiple protection circuits for overvoltage, overcurrent, output short circuit, temperature, low voltage malfunction prevention, and Shottky barrier diode open protection significantly increase both the stability and reliability of the set.
