The PICOLED^TM Series package is available in size 1006 (0402 inch) with the lowest profile (0.2 mm) — the smallest in the industry. In addition, a wide variety of ultra-small and ultra-low profile packages are available: for example, the PICOLED-eco Series with remarkably increased brightness at a low 1 mA current; the PICOLED-mini Series in a smaller 0603 (0201 inch) size package; and the PICOLED-RGB Series in three illumination colors.

With the exposed rear frame and the copper frame providing high thermal conductivity, the PSML2 package provides remarkably improved heat radiation. This feature enables the PSML2 to provide the industry’s highest light intensity of 7 cd at a medium current (100 mA).*

Since the reflector converges all diffused light onto the upper surface, the SML-T1/M1 Series LED is 1.5 times brighter (160 mcd, illumination color: orange, IF = 20 mA). By combining ROHM’s proprietary wavelength convergence technology and color preparation technology, the SML-T1/M1 Series accommodates wide variations in color reproduction. Specific custom colors can also be requested.

The LED dot matrix features a 140° viewing angle both vertically and horizontally. With the potting lens, the LEDs can transmit light across a wide range, without reflecting external light. The display is clearly visible against the black background, providing higher contrast than is available with the conventional chip LED type.

LAP/LBP Series digital LED displays incorporate our proprietary high-brightness four-segment LEDs, which provide 10 times the brightness of conventional products (in a comparison with orange LEDs). In addition, LAP/LBP Series LED displays exhibit less deterioration in light intensity, even when used for extended periods. Thus, the display maintains the clarity of high-grade equipment. What’s more, the LAP/LBP Series provides brightness equivalent to that of conventional displays at one-tenth the operating current, thus contributing to energy efficiency.
