Incorporating an original structure developed with ultra-high-precision processing technology, the GMD2 diode package incorporates three diode types — Schottky barrier diode, Zener diode, and PIN diode. With the built-in clamp diode between the base and the collector, the DTDG Series transistor provides a high breakdown voltage by absorbing the counter-electromotive force generated from the coil when a motor is driven. In addition, the DTDG Series transistor incorporates a current limit resistor and an erroneous operation prevention resistor. This results in a reduction of up to 40% in the mounting area for the motor drive circuit.
The RSB Series Zener diode is a single chip capable of absorbing surges in two ways (in positive and negative directions). With its high heat radiation performance, the TUMD2 package is suitable for automotive applications (PD: 500 mW). The RSB Series is also available as a composite product that integrates a pair of two-way Zener diodes on a single chip.
